I just wish this could have been published in the Register so more people could have seen it, and maybe caused enough upset so that however many cardinals, bishops, priests and laity there still are who actually believe in Catholicism, and not just Lefto-Cath-Light, could finally begin some sort of effective pushback against the ongoing abandonment of even the most clearly revealed teachings of Christ.
I think it’s a bit naive to say that “the Vatican is a “creature of the pope.” If anything the current Vatican is a creature of the former regime… Sad to imagine what power struggles are or will be taking place until Pope Leo is able to imprint his own character on the Vatican…. what ‘mafias’ he will need to confront and overcome, etc. We all should be praying that the Holy Father has the ‘coraggio’ to do what is his to do in these quasi-apocalyptic times.
I agree that the Vatican, like any bureaucracy, often pursues its own interests and can be difficult for even a determined pope to reign in. Yet it is perhaps too early to assume that the current pope has become "a creature of the Vatican"; certainly in these early days his own words, and actions, and whom he meets with or blesses or appoints should be answerable to his own will.
Antipope Robert “FtR” Prevost, the second consecutive Antipope, is Bergoglio with 40 more IQ points, good manners, and a modicum of sartorial sense (wool gabardine instead of polyester.) And as a founding member of the FSSP told me, this is why “FtR” Prevost is vastly more dangerous than Bergoglio ever was. The Trad Inc. Pollyanna fawning over “FtR” Prevost so far confirms this- sadly.

My immediate impression of Pope Leo was full of hope and then he said, "we want a synodal Church". I thought, who are the "we" - I don't want a "synodal church" - I'm not a protestant and I don't want to be a protestant. I want the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, you know the one founded by our Lord Jesus Christ, His Church. And, it has just gone downhill from there. I am tired of this papal nonsense! Enough already! I believe about only one percent of Catholics worldwide responded to/took part in the the synodal process. So it was very disingenuous of the Francis brigade to continue with it and impose it on the Church. It was and continues to be a lie! and not Catholic!
Thank you for this interview with Professor Rist. I must buy his book that you mentioned and study up on the great Saint Augustine and also ask for his intercession for Pope Leo.
Where is the love and respect for faithful Catholics? Many families had travelled far distances from other countries looking forward to visiting St Peter's Basílica together with their children. They found themselves surrounded by some 1.000 homosexual men demonstrating their utter disregard for both them and the moral teachings of the Church. Just incredibly sad to watch this circus. Just as the photos circling around the globe of Pope Leo with a smiling Martin and seemingly confident Sr C.
This pontificate and the previous one are horrendous. However, I believe it's not the first time the process of voting in for a new pope has been co-opted by nefarious people. I just wonder how the Holy Spirit will work through the faithful to steer the Church back towards God.
Excellent interview with Professor Rist. Many of us have been impressed by Pope Leo being very Christ centred and his personal kindness. However, this doesn't prevent me from seeing that that what I see is what I see, namely what looks like an LBGTQ- manifestation inside St Peter's Basílica.
