Alternatively, 90% of German bishops are not Catholic.

Replace all German clergy with African clergy and it’ll be fixed in a decade.

Sadly this is all over the West and I'm not too sure Pope Leo will do anything to stop it.

I don’t read a weather report to tell me that it’s raining. I read a weather report to tell me when it’s going to stop.

Allowing this to fester is saying no to Charity. Same goes for James Martin.

Thank you for the excellent article.

I wonder when the Holy See will confront these heretic bishops, and how much the money received from the government affects the Church. The Church has to get prepared to have a much smaller, but more orthodox German Church by losing all the nominal Catholic clergy and laypeople.

We should not be discouraged by losing "numbers", instead we should be worried by the decline of Faith among the clergy and laypeople

The German church is a mess and not a model for any to follow. Fire them all and appoint true shepherds. All that they have tried has failed. Time to try something new, which is something old...Catholicism.

Seriously: do we have to be surprised? I would ask you to tell me something truly meaningful: when and how will the problem of such a large number of heretical and apostate bishops be resolved? Or tell me if perhaps we should stop worrying about something that, anyway, we cannot solve (at least not us, the laity). Otherwise, it all seems like just “sensationalistic” discussions. Especially after we saw that the dubia signed by Cardinals have, PRACTICALLY, no value. Honestly, don't you feel tired of so many useless discussions?

Pope Leo XIV has not made any moves to restore the orthodoxy of the German episcopate … wait, wait, wait …

I know the Catechism says that the Church cannot definitively say if a soul is in hell, but I think we can say in probabilities the chances of a soul being in hell. These bishops and clergy if they do not turn from their false teachings have a high chance of going to hell for sins of the flesh. Mama Mary said to the Fatima seers that many souls will go to hell for sins of the flesh. These bishops and clergy scandalize the world and lead many to sin. In terms of probabilities, if Pope Francis and now Pope Leo XIV don't repent from advancing these perverted agendas, they have a high probability of not going to heaven. But I'm not the Judge, so they have that going for them.

At the worst point of the Arian heresy, 100% of the bishops of some Germanic kingdoms denied the divinity of Jesus Christ. History rhymes?

Why are we adverse to calling this “heresy”? These are material heretics at least, and certainly men who are betraying the oath they swore upon being elevated to the episcopacy. They should be removed.

One of the things that aided my conversion from Protestantism was having a central authority that could stop things like this. But apparently that's not the case. These heretic bishops just run rampant with zero repurcussions. Is disheartening to say the least.
